Eleanor (Ellie) Gaccetta is an author who retired to provide full-time care for her mother after she broke her hip at age 93. Armed with faith, humor, and love, Ellie navigated being a sole caregiver until her mother’s death at age 102. Her book, One Caregiver’s Journey, is a memoir that journals the snapshot of the reality, changes, and challenges of caregiving was published in 2019.
Most recently, Ellie published Generations of Good Food, a cookbook that spans six generations of family recipes and honors her mother who was a wonderful cook and a masterful baker. This book is a collection of 200 straightforward recipes and heartfelt stories of Italian life that brought families together around the table and intended to delight cooks of all skill levels.
