"Smile Power"

Have you ever wondered how powerful a smile can be? Not only can it make you look younger and is a preventive to sagging jowls, it has the ability to do so much more. We already know that it can improve our attitude and alter our mood, but new research suggests the power your smile has in improving your health!

Let’s face it, with so many expensive over-the-counter and prescription drugs on the market that promote well being, having immediate and free access to your smile can be an important aid that won’t take up space in your medicine cabinet and won’t cost you a dime!

Here are 6 compelling reasons to put on your smile and watch the results:

1. Shift Your Mood:

Stress can show up in our faces and make us look tired and worn- out. That’s obvious, but what isn’t as obvious is the capacity your smile has to relieve your stress. Smiling can alter your mood and make you feel better by releasing endorphins and serotonin, the natural mood-enhancers that can be released when you smile.

2. Boost your Immune System:

When we smile, we’re more relaxed, which improves our immune functions, allowing our immune system to work better and be more efficient. Imagine smiling to prevent the next onslaught of a cold or flu!

3. Lower Your Blood Pressure:

Try this out as an experiment. Monitor your blood pressure at home before and after smiling and note the difference. Wait a few moments between readings and see the changes that a smile can make.

4. Be Smile Contagious:

Your smile can lighten up others and create a more open and pleasant atmosphere. In addition, it can directly influence other people’s moods and draw more people to you.

5. Act and Appear More Successful:

With a smile, you seem more confident and even more reliable to other people. Your smile can positively impact your interactions with people and make you appear more approachable to them and to their willingness to do business with you. A smile can not only do that, it can have an affect on your The best news is that it can also increase your confidence.

6. Add Attraction:

When we smile, people are more attracted to us. Remember how you feel when you see someone in the workplace scowling? Your immediate response is to do what you can to avoid him or her so that their mood doesn’t rub off on you. However, when someone is upbeat and smiling, you can’t help yourself wanting to bask in their company and noticing their appeal.

Smile your way to feeling good and to attracting more business and more friends to you or just to add delight to another person’s life and improve their day!
