making sense of transformation

I was speaking with a friend about the possibility of ever really making any lasting changes in our lives. Change, we agreed, is about making adjustments or tweaking parts of our lives, or ourselves without really touching the core of our being. Change is like trying on new clothes, adopting a new image or style, yet the innermost part of the self remains essentially untouched. Most of us make changes all the time, replacing one behavior for another, adapting to new situations or relationships, or modifying how we behave. However, as valuable as it is, change is not transformation. I'm not here to knock the value of change. It's important and serves us in many ways by helping us adapt to our world and the people in our lives.

Transformation is what truly affects the nature of the self and occurs from the inside out. Yet, transformation may be unnoticeable to others. The outer part of a person may not appear to be any different than before. The difference occurs on a deeper level and has a lasting and profound effect.

That's why I'm eager to share information with you about the new program that I've developed. TotalSense® is a program that is personal and life transforming. It is born from my many years of counseling both individuals and groups, and from my own transformation.

My career path hasn't always been a straight one. After graduating college, I studied movement therapy. A knee injury altered my plans and I sought a personal healing path of alternative and allopathic medicine. In trusting my own health decisions, I felt the need to integrate and balance all parts of myself. I chose to look at healing and transformation as a holistic system and embarked on a different career course from movement therapy. By incorporating the disciplines of psychology, education and holistic modalities, I believed that others and I could re-invent ourselves. Through altered self-perception, we begin to recognize our own divine uniqueness.

My program, TotalSense®, is designed to encourage and promote self-mastery and to open the pathways to our own healing and creativity. It assists our inner self to bring to life our dreams and with conscious awareness, to design the life that we choose.

Often, our dreams and talents are squelched. They accommodate our demanding lives and lead us around rather than promote the feeling that we're in charge. When we reawaken to our own wealth of internal resources, we act and respond creatively and decisively. TotalSense® offers many opportunities to use transformational tools, not just to change our outward appearance but also to bring us to a place of wholeness and authenticity from the inside out.
